Three documents that form the complete picture — from classified government research to practical consciousness training.
The complete, unredacted 1983 CIA document by Lt. Col. Wayne M. McDonnell analyzing the Monroe Institute's Gateway Experience program. Explore the theoretical framework behind consciousness expansion.
Step-by-step exercises and techniques from the Monroe Institute's Gateway training program. Includes Focus State progression, Resonant Tuning, and advanced binaural beat protocols.
A curated summary of key frequencies, focus states, binaural beat science, and the most important findings from the CIA research — perfect for quick reference and daily practice.
In the early 1980s, the CIA commissioned a rigorous scientific analysis of the Monroe Institute's Gateway Experience — a program using binaural audio to induce altered states of consciousness.
Lt. Col. Wayne M. McDonnell produced a landmark 29-page document drawing on quantum mechanics, neuroscience, and holographic theory to explain how the brain can access expanded states of awareness.
Declassified in 2003 and largely forgotten for years, this document exploded in popularity in 2021 — because what it describes challenges everything mainstream science says about the limits of human consciousness.
Monroe Institute develops Gateway Experience program using Hemi-Sync audio technology
U.S. Army requests classified analysis of the program's potential applications
Lt. Col. Wayne M. McDonnell submits 29-page analysis to the CIA detailing the theoretical framework
Document declassified and released to the public under the Freedom of Information Act
Viral resurgence online — millions discover the research for the first time
Binaural audio tones that synchronize both hemispheres of the brain, inducing specific altered states correlated with different brainwave frequencies.
A structured progression from Focus 10 (mind awake, body asleep) through Focus 21 — each state offering distinct experiential qualities and applications.
The CIA's investigation into the Gateway process included its potential overlap with remote viewing and extended human perception capabilities.
McDonnell draws on physicist David Bohm's holographic universe model to explain how consciousness may interact with non-local information fields.
